Day 1 - Morning walk for 3 hours, not much seen. In the afternoon drove around and saw plains game and buffalo cow

Day 2 – On our morning walk to the spring saw elephant drinking. Shot a warthog for the pot. That afternoon Dave took a perfect shot on an impala with his 470.

Day 3 – Tracked 6 dagga boys in the morning. Bumped into them a few times but no luck.

Day 4 – Found 3 dugga boys, had a shot at one with James but no luck. In the afternoon, Dave and I got up to a herd and shot a good dugga boy.

Day 5 – got into some dugga boys but again no luck. In the afternoon we were into a herd but no luck

Day 6 – James shot an impala. Excellent shot at 204 meters. Had a few chances at some buffalo but no result.

Day 7 – On to buffalo the whole day, saw some sable as well but both were too clever for us.

Day 8 – Early start, got on to a herd of buffalo close to camp and finally James got his dugga boy with a good shot in the end. Rest of the day we set up for hyena and took a walk looking for pigs and shot a baboon.

Had the most amazing hunting. Very tough to get the buffalo, made them even more rewarding. Saw an elusive ‘grey ghost’ and stalked some sable. Lioness and cheetah with cubs feeding were visual highlights. Nothing quite as exciting as seeing a tracker with your rifle run past you with a charging wounded buffalo shortly behind. Thank you all very much!
